Wow, all intresting, beautiful, & intriguing as well!

Many years ago I saw the "Luray Caverns" in Virginia. It was an amazing site to behold! The beauty above, & then the magnificent beauty below!!!

Wow Cars! I was looking at their photos and that is a cavern I definitely would love to see. I've only seen Carlsbad and Kartchner Caverns so far. Neither disappoints but the Luray cavern looks like it might be better than both. How you doing? Good to see you! :)

SCC, what is a dp? I'm not up on all the lingo yet. ;) I don't know about the ossuary they showed in Paris but I know that the Paris Catacombs are open to the public. Not the best photos I've seen of them but here's what Wiki says: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catacombs_of_Paris

The most amazing I've seen are the underground cities of Cappadocia where the locals lived whilst the many invaders of the areas rolled over the top of them :-

We visited several whilst driving round central Turkey and many are still habitable with good ventilation and water supplies.

Hi Red, I'm doing good, working on closing up the house here up North. As we are traveling to our Southern Villa on Monday! (Hope it doesn't blizzard on Monday as predicted by some)

Yes if you ever do get the chance to see the Luray Caverns, by all means do it! You will not be disappointed!

I'm not sure if tghis counts as underground but.................http://www.realmarykingsclose.com/experience.htm

When I went there it scared me s**tless, and I'm not an excitable person.

I had a giggle about this DP here means displaced person, and generally back in the day, that wasn't someone in very good social standing, usually some very poor immigrant... my grandparents were DP's 70+ years ago.

As for the cool underground places... no thank you, underground euwwww not for this gal, what it it all collapsed in upon you. Crikey I can barely stand going under a bridge or through a tunnel, hmmm ok what would the tunnel be that I went through in England perhaps the Dartford Tunnel heck forgive me if I am wrong but bleck that nearly made me pass out ahahaha sorry Raven I could not bring myself to tell you that on the day we took that road trip I just sucked it up and endured it.
