how to make a trifle

ingrediants - for traditional christmas trifle

jelly

fresh cream

ready made pot of custard

sponge fingers

sugar decorations

method

Put off making trifle until fresh cream is past sell by date - throw it away.

Note that sugar decoration box is empty - forgot had eaten them while watching tv as no other candy in house, a few weeks ago.

consider making trifle with sponge fingers, custard and jelly alone.

while considering this, watch tv and eat sponge fingers as there is no cake in the house.

still hungry, eat ready made custard.

decide do not like jelly on its own and put it back of cupboard ready to make trifle next year.

Whats wrong with a Birds eye ready mix one??? Don't worry about Sherry,just drink a bottle when you eat it.

Gosh, I use the birds eye custard too and sponge cake laced with sherry. I make a raspberry jello with frozen raspberries and the juice, a layer of custard, then a layer of whipped cream... yummersw
