CD rentals for 1.00

Post by weeder »

I live without TV. I dont like to have cable because the temptation to lay around watching TV is too great. I also resent paying for TV. It isnt worth paying for. I do watch movies. When money is tight, I rent CDs from the library. Thats where I discovered all of the great BBC movies. Last night, leaving the supermarket, I discovered a vending machine that rents you CDs for 1.00 per night. Great deal. All the new releases, probably around 100 choices. All you need is a debit card. Pop your card in, the movies come out of a slot. You return them the same way. 1.00 per night late fee. If you keep the movie for 25 days.... you own it, and they charge your card. This is 1/4 the charge of Blockbuster. No paperwork. I think this is a great deal.

What will they think of next??

Redbox started putting vending machines at McDonalds in Las Vegas. Shortly after we moved to San Antonio, Redbox had expanded there.

You're right, Weeder. The deal is great. Not as big a selection, but you can't beat that price.

There's a toll-free number on the vending machine. I've never had a problem like that. I have gotten the occassional scratched DVD & they gave me credit right away.

Call them & see.

I love watching movies. Mostly in the winter. when its cold, and it gets dark early. I love great movies. No violence, and no stupid humor. Just watched Away From Her. I beg God to let me age as beautifully as Julie Cristie has.
