i dont know where to put this so am hoping here will be ok
i need advice about a little bird
as i was sitting here upstairs in my room i heard all this noise coming from the kitchen, i was thinking what's that daft dog of mine doing & went down to look
there was this little bird fluttering round on the window sill, poor lil thing trying to get out
it was so scared & it was pooping all over the sill (shame)
so i dident want to scare it anymore but wanted to help it get out
so i thought well im just going to have to be tough here & somehow get a t-towel round it so its wings dont flap all over the place & risk injury, im also nervous of things that flap around
after 3 attempts the poor wee thing was in a right state & so was i
frantically searched the kitchen for something i could use, found quite a big tupperware box & scooped it in
the window is right at the back door, so only toook seconds to move, i was taking it into the garden when it fly's out the box
phew relief thinks me, looks like its flying ok
however its still in the garden hopping around, now i know it can fly as i seen it, of course it wasent very far, do you think its hurt & what should i do?

Leave it alone is probably best. If it's very young and newly fledged, it
might take it a while to get going again after a "trauma" like that.

Alternatively, it might have a damaged wing or leg. I agree with Valerie`s advice, leave it for a bit and see how things develop

awww thanks valerie, i was a bit frantic about it earlier, the poor wee soul sat around kinda stunned for a half hour or so & then took off
you should have seen the state i was in last year when the fish had an eye infection & the vet wouldent do anything about it other than advise me to take it out the tank, total wimp that i am cried about that
thanks to john also
