Benefit Concert

This is a plea for help in finding the name of a musical artist.

I saw her on tv last summer in a live concert. I believe it was a benefit concert. I dont know the womans name but shes black, she had dyed blonde hair (short) I believe she was African by her dialect. And thats all I know.

Not much to go on but maybe someone will know.

She was a singer. She sang a snappy tune. Does that help ?

Kind of scat but not traditional scat. I remember she had children on stage she was singing to.

I asked my daughter, giving her the discription you posted and telling her that she sang a "snappy tune" and she doesn't have a clue. ROFLMAO!!
