lighter life .. how safe is it??????

Post by littlemissgiggle »

This is very safe aslong as he goes through the doctor for it.

We have had a lady at work went on it in 2006 and went from a size 22 down to a 12 she was 38 at the time.

also they introduce food back into the diet at stages.

Another guy at work went on it for the same high blood pressure and he is unrecconisable from when he started its amazing the difference.

They both went through the doctor for theres and it doe's sound strange but aslong as they keep an eye on him he will be fine.

they have exercises to do during it aswell to tone them up.

I hope it works for him :-4

:wah: are right yes I have heard of Herbalife

if someone said lighter life before I would be like no way,

and the money it costs a week aswell is like  60 quid a week.

you could feed a family of 6 on that never mind one person but it has worked for those 2 people at work, and i have seen before my eyes the changes.

one being a male and other a female not that it would make a difference

I think you will find that Suzy draws the arrows on the toilet rolls when

you buy them :D

Hi. Just jumping out of lurkdom:o

Lighterlife is safe. Very safe, as long as you do it correctly (which is kinda easy). I did the Cambridge diet. It's very much like Lighterlife, but the shakes taste better and it costs just under half the price.

My friend did herbalife, but said the shakes were awful, so is now doing Cambridge.

BTW, I lost 8 stone (112lbs for any Americans;)) getting me to goal for the first time ever. Have maintained my goal weight for 2 and a half years.

Never felt better :)

Hate having my picture taken:o Having it up on a public forum...even worse. Still....if it will help :D

Might delete it after a while though.

Haven't exactly got before and afters, more like 'just after befores'...and 'just after afters'.

First one was taken after I had lost the first stone I think. Second one when I got to my first big goal. Fraid I'm falling over in the 2nd one. Can't be serious at the best of times;)

Oh bovver. Need to have 15 posts before I can post piccies. Ummm. What can I talk about for another 10 posts?

Nine months. Yes...I know...it's very fast, and could have been faster had I not had to break it a couple of times for various reasons. Tis safe though. Not anything like when you lose too fast because you've reduced cals and can't get all the nutrition etc etc.

:D Never been called that before.:D

Anyway....only posted the pics because someone asked, and just sometimes, I wonder if people believe me:-3

Will come one night and take them down, because I shudder when I open this thread up now and see them

Thanks again for your kind words

Well done your BIL!!

19lbs isn't unusual (especially for a bloke). It's quick. It's very quick:D (Cambridge and lighterlife have similar speeds of weightloss)

This first weeks great loss is mainly due to the depletion of glycogen. It calms down after that :D I managed my first 3 stone in 2 months, but for the men it melts off faster. My friend started LL, but moved onto Cambridge for various reasons. Great believer in both diets though. Think he lost 12 stone in something like 5 months.

His blog is worth a read.

http://mylighterlife.iblog.com/

Yes, he's still alive and kicking. Well, running marathons so I guess it didn't do him any harm. He's now a cambridge counsellor.

Well done again to your BIL! Fab work!

the only thing that bothers me is your guy needing a tummy tuck :-3:-3

Lots of people believe that the faster you lose the weight, the more likely it is you'll need a tummy tuck. It's a question that comes up frequently.

I don't believe it's true (along with others:p) It's more to do with your genes, age etc. Blow a balloon up, and whether you let it down slowly, or quickly, you usually end up with the same result.

I've lost 8 stone and recently had an op (not a tummy tuck). The doctor said that my stomach was no different to anyone elses of my age. She could see no signs of excess skin....well no more than you would expect of a lady aged 52 who's had 6 pregnancies.

I've seen people who have done Cambridge and WW who have lost vast amounts of weight (over 10 stone) and the degree of excess skin seems similar.
