It's bound to happen sooner or later. Why not now?

Do you expect to get a tax refund this year? How much?

Our taxes are very high in Canada. Most people try to not have to pay any by putting them into RRSP's - I had to yank a chunk out this year. Even though I contributed about $100 more monthly, I had better not have to pay any more to those bas-----ds or I will be really pissed.

Geez, NV, I would be upset too. I pay enough, they say Cdns. pay about 1/3 of their salary. They say that it is usually June when your paycheck is your paycheck, and that you have paid your basic taxes for the year. It mostly is the Corporate people that have so many tax shelters that they end up getting nice chunks back.

I just can't say enough about the tax I owe. The government is going to take about $20,000 from me - I have been saving and saving and saving for the IRS. It is such crap to get money and know it goes straight to the IRS. Maybe I should be poor and sick again.

I worked damned hard to get what I have and the government is taking 35%.

Whats the ratio down there? Up here it is about 30-33% goes to taxes.

I think this is the last year of a good tax refund, since my daughter graduated. My taxes are complicated, I go to a preparer, because of medical expenses. I usually pay something to the state-$2-500, then get a thousand from the feds. I think I will change my withholding when it is figured out this year, if I pay too much.

That's the way it's supposed to be! Why would you want to give U. Sam too much of your money? It's just a zero-interest savings account. Better to keep it for yourself and earn the interest. Congrats! :yh_clap

My IRS tax form is very simple & easy! It says:

How much did you make?

How much do you have left after filing?

Send it to us!!!
