You know the more I see about this "religion" the more bizarre and frankly disturbing it is. There is a copy of tom cruise's interview for new recruits on a website gawkster or something that hasn't been barred from the net (yet). Having watched it I have to say that the man comes across a little strangely, I mean we all knew he was a little eccentric and this may explain why. Claims include that scientologists are the only ones who can help people at traffic accidents, or solve criminal behaviour, and have a mission to save the world and its people (us) from our delusional views about reality. Check out the link for yourself and tell me what you think, of course if you are a scientologist your views are especially interesting. In one way its a bit of a media fluff thing, on the other hand this is becomming a big and quite powerful organization or religion or whatever it is, especially in the states, though they are here as well.

IMO the only difference between a "cult" and a "religion" is the number of members. Sure it looks goofy, but so does every other religion, in the eyes of non-believers.

Sure, I am not advocating any other religion in questioning what scientology in particular is all about, it just seems so bizzare. I mean at least older religions have the fog of time to cloud the zanyness of the stories or beliefs, but scientology is more immediately and obviously delusional, but that doesn't seem to put people off. Then again, there is no accounting for human credulity in a harsh and difficult world is there?

Well I'm quite annoyed actually...................all that time I put in training in first aid and police handling of accidents and now I find out that I should have just driven on and let the casualties sort themselves out whilst waiting for TC to come abseiling down from his MI plane or whatever!
It's a bit of a blow, I can tell you.
I shall of course be driving more carefully from now on just in case there are no Scientologists available.:-3

I wonder what a Scientologist Jihad would entail? Would they walk into a crowded mall and talk people to death?:wah:

So I said, sirs, ma'am, with all do respect, if indeed this is not reality, and we only exist in this psuedo haze of view and energy, then what do you need an concealed armed body guard for?
That's a clever point.
They might not be inconsistent here though. In a lot of religions, humans play a creative and active process in the fight between good and evil. Likewise, we might ask Christians why they need guns, if God or guardian angles are protecting them. How can anything happen, except that it be God's will?

How dare he!! Firstly, I dont think he makes a hell of a lot of sense. Bunch of pompus rhetoric. I hope that if hes ever in an accident, that the person who helps him ISNT a scientologist. That might broaden his thinking. Secondly if these nut cases could experience being poor for a couple of years, they would discover some meaningful things to ponder, and share. It is the ridiculous amounts of money that we pay these people that put them in a position to rant and rave about their bizarre outlooks on life. Whats his name is another one. John Travollta. We raise these people to the level of Gods, and they eventually behave like they are Gods. I wish I could respond to that idiot Cruise. God help his wife and child, Madman.
