Hello everyone,

Thanks for the warm welcom.........I feel welcome already.

John.............polynesians are south pacific islanders. A group of islands that include the islands of Tonga, Fiji, Samoa, New Zealand, Tahiti, Cook Islands, Palau, Hawaii, etc. I live in California, USA. My origins are from the Islands of Tonga, which makes me Tongan American since I was raised here.

flopstock......I am interested in a vast array of things as you will see me just about everywhere in the forums covering topics that suit my interest to respond. And thanks for laughing at me in the Current Events room.

Angel Chocobo........as I will look forward to reading many of yours.

Abbey.......being shy is not one of my problems.......lol.

Again thanks for your warm welcome,

vilssss

p.s....before I rub someone the wrong way in the future, Polynesians will laugh at just about anything, including life threatening situations......I don't know why, just believe me on this one. Eventually I will not check myself and let it out so consider yourselves warned.

Welcom Vilsss-------One of the best times of my life was to sail on a 80ft. twin masted schooner throughout the Tonga chain of islands, From Nufulofa to Vavau and back

Lon......I admire your ability to sail the high seas of the south pacific without being seasick. A few years back I went back to my beloved Tongan islands to soak in the full experience of living in the islands as one of the locals. I took very little with me with just about enough fund to get me by. One of the most unforgetable experiences I had while I was there was taking the ferry ride from Nuku'alofa to Vava'u. I didn't fair as well as you did due to sea sickness. But the experience is unforgetable to me non-the-less because I went through them just as many thousands have done before me, plus the fact that I can truly say; "I know axactly what you're talking about." On the trip we stopped at all the usual stops which was awesome to meet the various locals along the way.

Vava'u is beautiful. I stayed there for a a month and a half. I did see many scooners docked along those islands. It would have been interesting if one of them belonged to you.
