I have for some years felt a certain admiration of Mark Steel, a gentleman who occasionally appears on our UK national talk radio channel and offers a half-hour's reflection on some topic of history which interests him. Last year he was in Chicago talking to an American audience about the French Revolution, and there's an online video of the lecture. I commend it to the thread, I found it well worth watching.
There's Part One and Part Two.

Would anyone like to try this one? He's in good form here too. It's in four parts because Youtube's not cut out for full half hour programs.
