Pepper Spray

Post by Pheasy »

I have just started working again, and will be in peoples houses that I don't know (no rude comments :wah:), I was thinking I should have some form of defense, as you just never know. What do people recommend, I was thinking pepper spray - not cos I know anything about it - it just sounds painful :D

Why on earth would you want to carry Pepper spray into someones house ?

Talk to them at the door.......if they seem strange......if you feel uneasy....dont enter.

99.9% of people are OK.......Im worrying about YOU

Sorry Bruv .... I am finding most things amusing tonight. Pheasy tries to be serious.-...

I don't think you can judge someone at their door - evil people are very clever and know some great ways to come across as nice - believe me I know. I don't intend to play with it - its a final back-up :-6

Hi Pheasy:-4

What kind of a job do you have? Do you have to go into the house. I agree that you always have to be careful. Will you be alone when you go to their house.

Bruv, Hello by the way.....nice to meet ya:-6 I think that people have to be careful when going into a stranger's home....you never know what they're up to...geeze, didn't you watch "Silence of the Lambs"...............:lips:

Seriously, has anyone ever had to use it? Is it effective against attack? Or would someone recommend something else? :-6

Pheasy, will you know anything beforehand about the people you are calling on? Are they people who have been referred for some reason or will your calls be random?

No I won't really know anything about them. Its not cold calling, these people will have requested a visit.

Sorry to sound vague, don't want to be seen promoting my FANTASTIC PRODUCT :wah::wah::wah:

I spent nine years in a job that required home visits and I didn't encounter a problem, though I did know a little about the people beforehand from their referrals. But there are various precautions that you can take, common sense ones really, which I can pm to you if you'd like?

And good luck with your FANTASTIC PRODUCT :-6

The one thing about pepper spray, if you have to use it and you are panicked, which you would be or you wouldn't have it out to use it, make sure it is facing the right way when you spray it. My sister went to mace a guy one time and sprayed herself. :wah: It scared him enough that he ran away though.
