That's why I asked - I assumed Australians had the same underlying approach to allowing minors to drink at home under parental responsibility as England has, in which case "they legally start drinking here" at six.

call it anything you wish chonsi..obviously it is a touchy subject to you..you are taking it personally.

the whole point of the thread was to say..my shitz zu was stolen out of my yard..hundreds of dogs have been stolen over the last couple of years from this area and surrounding area..i was told by a state patrol officer that they were investigating it several months back..they thought it might be a group stealing and selling the dogs for drug money..a racket..it was considered..

he recently told me that a family , illegal, from mexico , were stealing the dogs and killing them and eating them...my only reaction was to be upset that that could have been the fate of a family pet..a dog i loved..

sorry i dont have a mug shot or pictures of immigration hauling them back to mexico..or jail or whatever their fate turns out to be..i dont really care.beyond the fact that it could have been what happened to my dog..

The state patrol officer is a friend of the family..he only let me know because he knew i had a interest in the fate of all the dogs that were disapearing in this area..and especially my own..The dog was very loved..eight years old..and meant alot to me..he was collared, id'd and in a fenced in yard..i cried for months when he was stolen...i worried that he was used to train fighting dogs, tortured..suffered...i had no idea his fate..although i dont like what i was told..and cant prove to you..and dont really give a damn to prove it to you..

quite frankly, i can understand why it wouldnt be put in the papers.their are hundreds and hundreds of illegal immigrants in this area..good people..hard working people..would you want something like that put in the paper to bring deversion to the rest?

beyond this, i have nothing more to say...i am sorry it upset you..i might could have put it more tactfully or said it in another way.. i am done with this conversation...

What guppy had was "i think they should also be able to drink at that age" - different states have different rules on legally drinking at home, in some it's illegal until you're 21. She'd have had a better example with states that allow marriage at fourteen, I expect there are still some of those. If you can marry and have kids at 14 you ought to be able to join the army and kill for your country at 14 too. It's no worse an argument than the one she started with, the two issues are equally unrelated.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved pet-yes, they are important to us.

Your source says they were investigating a family-sounds like they found no proof of it.

they thought it might be a group stealing and selling the dogs for drug money..a racket..it was considered..

And nothing else heard about it afterwards. Thank you for the clarification.

I am glad to hear there was no findings that it was true.

Thank you for telling the story, and filling in the gaps. I did not ask for clarification to make you relive the despair of loosing your beloved dog, for that I am very sorry to hear about.

Sit in my garden and listen to a flock of them.................Id shoot them if I could:D
We had some friends that had one and we we aware of the noise. At least we thought we were. After about two years, I guess it became sexually mature and became much more animated and destructive. I got a good price out of the little bugger in the end from a breeder. Little did the breeder know I would have paid him in the end.

Wherever you are Casper I hope your getting some and its very nice not hearing you anymore..:wah:

A man goes to the zoo.

When he gets there, there was only one dog in all of the animal cages!
