Who remembers pong?

Post by Raven »

I have been playing video games since the advent of pong on the old atari. Then nintendo.......then sega........then finally to PSX, upgraded to 2.

But the game that really hooked and reeled me in was Shadowgate, on the old nintendo 16 bit system.

Anybody remember that one?

I was telling my daughter and her friend about all these games.. like Tron.. and Joust.. and Pacman.. and Donkey Kong..etc.. they looked at me like I had been resurrected from the Ice Age or something.. but those were great games.. oh oh.. how about Missile Command...

my favorite two were galaga and frogger. centipede was a fav aswell. Then I got hooked on the Legend of Zelda series along with Phantasy star, which was on the sega system. I havent played Phantasy star since it went online. Can you play alone or is it strictly net play? I'm really hoping final fantasy doesnt stop making games for the console. I've played everyone of theirs. Arent they supposed to be coming out with 12 soon?

We have an atari here, as well as old consoles with games.

Stelz, when you can can't decide have both, that's what happened in this house

I do! I have been playing since the dawn as well. Does anyone remember the PC game Lemmings? Just pulled that out of my long term memory, though I think that's only about 12 years old... I miss that game.

I introduced a 7 year old to Chuckie Egg yesterday, he went away with a floppy disk and a dazed expression after half an hour of it. Lord knows what he'll do when the bird gets out of its cage - I predict at least a wet chair.

Call that Pong?

We had nobbut a single-sided 40 track floppy drive, and we had to key Pong in line by line before we could play it first time. And it only had four colors. And two of them were black and white.
