I think you have a valid point Jimbo and whilst we're on the subject I think also you should ban pushchairs, loud shirts in a built up area, mullet haircuts, men with combovers, women in tight trousers which make their legs look like a string of sausages, children that dare to look at you, in fact everyone should just stay at home and do their shoping on line, it'd be so much easier:sneaky:

Is "old" sixty plus? If it is, I've got another 11 months before I'm banned from going out...better make the most of it :wah:

Jimbo, I'm being jokey too, really I am. In fact, I laughed to myself the other day at work when one of the young technicians saw my ipod in my handbag and said, "I think it's brilliant that you've got an ipod. You've really adapted to new technology." Bless him, he's a lovely lad, but we both knew that what he really meant to add was, "at your age." :wah:

I can relate to that Theia...my son wants an ipod...although his terminology that I had to point out to him and question was that he NEEDS an ipod!...I couldn't tell you how to turn one on!!

On the subject of techno stuff....texting on phones drives me batty and I was told that is because I'm OLD!!--:-5:-5

WW, you'll know "old" when it really happens :wah: Your body can be depended upon to show you...but actually it's strange, your mind seems to get younger...and younger. Maybe that's why I have a good relationship with my 18 year old granddaughter...my daughter complains that we're so alike in the way that we think that it's as if she has two daughters :-5

Though I can't text like my granddaughter does. My kids always know when it's me, without looking at the name or number, because I always accidentally "send" after only one letter or word.

my mothers texts are all one sentence with no fullstops or spaces and her idiotic attempt to "type text speak" one went similar to this.
