did you try system restore to the last time it worked well? Usually one month back is sufficient and fixes most unexplainable problems

Very Easy Look in windows Help to Reformat. or go to the c: and Type "Format C". Switch off the computer then on again. Put in your OS Disk and it should start to boot up Windows. Then you can load up your other progs. If you have a "Rescue" disk supplied with your computer use that it will restore your computer to what it was like when you bought it. Do not forget to search for upgrades again.

I had to do a system restore on my PC awhile back. I never had a laptop...so I can't help ya there. Sorry.

They work the same, they are just smaller packages..

I once had to do destruct restore which puts it back to the beginning as if you had just bought it. Dont know how to do it though some bloke talked me through it on the phone.
