Letting off Steam

Well today in the humidity I mowed back and front lawns did the edges, did the washing, looked after 2 babies all day and tonight after dinner packed the dishwasher buttttttttttt their were two people still eating.....males.....after putting the babies to bed I came into the kitchen to turn the dishwasher on and low and behold sitting on the sink are two dirty plates.

I blew my stackkkkkkkkk. What does it take to rinse off your plate and put it in the dishwasher? They reckon I am going on about nothing do you agree?:(

The problem isn't that they left two plated by the dish washer, the problem is that you are seen as a slave.

If you did all that all day with no help from anyone, the fact that they left the plats has nothing to do with them being lazy, it has to do with the fact that you are taken fully for granted and there is no thought what-so-ever of your needs. The fact that they don’t get what you are going on about only proves it.

You need to change things around your place. I would never do that to my wife.

Glad to hear you wouldnt do that to your wife, think your minority though. No I am not taken for granted...hubby cooked the baked dinner he didnt mow the lawns cause he has major back surgery. But I think most women are slaves in the home and not appreciated for what they do.

OK, we didn't get the whole story up front. That's different. It was unthoughtful of them just to leave the plates there, but in the big scene no big deal.

It is just always very busy running a house with kids and all, sometimes little things make us blow.

On the bright side.. heat, humidity... god how nice that would be right now. I am in cold, rain and high winds.

awwwwwwww poor thing but to make you feel better its raing now and we have a cool change so glad I did mow the lawns

Ghads, a whirlwind of cleanliness-and I would have took the two dirty plates to the culprits where they lounged in the recliner in front of the TV, took the remote out of their hand and put the plate, and said "Get to it!"

Even though we resented it, and even though its wrong, I am from the generation where we women did mostly everything domestic for our men, and our familys. We have done this, along with working jobs outside of the home.

My sons who are, or have been married.... show up in wrinkled shirts. They do the food shopping, cooking, laundry, outside chores, entertaining.... and care for the kids. The women do nothing.

Nobody wants to be taken for granted all of the time. An expected "thank you" or courtesy is always appreciated. We are not appliances.............we are people.

Crikey I would never just leave dirty plates or anything like that lying around! Mainly because I'm just not that kind of person, but I suppose even if I did I would be far too scared of my mum afterwards! :p
