Insurance Costs

Post by Carolly »

I went and bought a new television today and I am not going to bore you all with the details but please check out any insurances you may buy when you buy certain items. The full story I have put on my Journal but the jest of it is I nearly paid out over double for the same Insurance.I felt I needed the Insurace because of circumstances and Im happy with what I ended up with BUT beware as I saved today more than the Insurance actually cost.....gawd there crafty!!!:-5:rolleyes:

I bet i have saved more than i have paid out.
Fair comment and I only buy them on certain items although saying that some items are so much cheaper then they were a few years ago meaning there not worth insuring. I felt that the Insurace that I bought today for 5 years that works out to approx £25 a year for a 37inch LCD tele was a good deal as if it did go wrong I think it would have cost me alot more. For much cheaper items no I never buy an Insurance.

You have a year's warranty anyway and a lot of the larger appliances have manufacturers warranties. On the other hand my computer that i didn't bother getting insured has just been rebuilt under warranty-new motherboard etc. If I'h had t pay for it I'd have been cheaper buying a new PC. So maybe I will think again next time but i don't see why i should pay for the first year when they have to fix it anyway
