Super Tuesday... Which way to go?

Post by grh »

:thinking:It is both the best of times and the the worst of times here in Illinois on super tuesday. here's my dilema...

I'm torn, as usual, whether to use my vote for good or for evil in a primary. Do I go in and vote for who I want to win and lead us or do I go in and declare for the other party so that I can attempt to soften the competition up by voting for their least attractive candidate.

I'm one of those delusional Americans who believes that my vote does count, if I opt to use it.

The choices are not so black and white this time around and while the temptation is there to vote for someone just so that you could guarantee professional hair care for at least the next four years... there's the whole clever annexing of the 'hope' thing as your own unique idea that deserves kudos... McCain, come on -how many more shots does this guy have in him and you have to admit he was torpedoed by bushes squad the last time he was this hopeful. Romney - no idea he was Mormon before he started running... then again, before he started running he could have been a football player for all I knew..

It's a tough call. But it is also a call I am forced to make if I want to leave work for a while this morning...
Who are they to protest me? Who are they? Unless they've been me and been there and know what the hell they're yelling about!

Ha, now who's trying to soften up the other side, from your perspective anyway? :wah:

The only thing really wrong with Ron Paul is that I always think of Pat Paulsen for some strange reason and then it's time to move on...

:D

Well, it was a mighty close call considering where one of the candidates calls home... howsomever... while parking the car i couldn't help but catch a glimpse of my own coif and so felt compelled to help the girl out :D:wah:

Seriously though... he's young enough that I can imagine him being willing to serve the second spot and unite the party in defeating the republican candidate. Her, not so much. :p

ya know sweetpea, i can really sympathize with a woman who just doesn't care how she looks.:p there is more personality in those god awful pictures then I have ever seen in any candidate before her.

It's only when she speaks that you get that lingering taste of cardboard..:wah:

Come on guys. The candidates are human...not gods. Granted....they are humans vying for an important postion in our government...but human none the less.

I gotta admit I do admire Hillary's tenacity. Shes a fighter. She probably has more spirit than Obama.

Im not syaing hes not a good candidate to vote for, by all means if you feel like hes the man then vote for him. I'm just thinking through that thrid party candidate vote thing, and a vote for Ron Paul is really a vote for who ever the majority of republicans likes. Which per the polls it is MCain, but if your a Ron Paul advocate and you dont like McCain then your better off voting for Romney or vice versa.

Thats my dilemma. Is it better to stategize or be true to your desire to vote your conscience ?

If you really believe this is the right candidate then I dont think its a waste to make him your vote.

Its a pure vote if that makes sense.
