:wah: Tornadoes is what we call them. Hurricanes come from the ocean and strike land. Tornadoes are from hot and cold air masses colliding and bunch other stuff thrown in.

Unless you are south of the equator, then a hurricane is called a cyclone.

I could literally feel it and see it last night. It missed me by about 50 feet. 24 dead so far just in my town and this is our third with that many deaths since 2003. I figured it was coming it was almost 80 degrees yesterday with our norm for this time of year being in the high 30's.

I can honestly admit it was the first time I was scared in a long time. When I say I could feel it and see it I mean that.

Not much warning the sirens were going off well before it hit but you can't prepare for something like that as well as you think you can. The one that hit us in 2003 was far worse it was an F4.

A lot of my guys at work live at a local university that was totally destroyed and I will be putting a few of the ones that don't have family here up.

It was a rough night hard to explain the feeling of it. When I looked to my left and saw the rain and hail twirling horizontally I called my mom an d told her I loved her then said a quick prayer for all of my friends and smoked a cigarette. Moments later it was over.

I can see that school from my front yard. It started in Mississippi and was in Georgia this morning, the storm that is.

A couple that don't post here any more do. Not Today and AF, both are fine. Neither lived here but both areas that live in had their own storms. I haven't personally spoken to either but they have been active on their Myspace accounts.
