Do your kids fight??

Post by Pheasy »

Mine fight like crazy! Wind each other up. Wind me up. If only they put as much passion in to their homework as they did on their mission to fight each other. :wah:

Then they go and surprise you. :-4 Josh (nearly 13 yrs) texted me to tell me that they had a book fair at school today, and he bought Lucy (7 years) something. I was confused, he didn't tell me there was a book fair, and I did not give him any money. He used his lunch money. I just texted back 'I love you'. When Lucy got home they just kept hugging each other and Lucy kept saying I love you Josh. :-4

She is a typical female :wah: :-4

Do your kids fight like they hate each other? Then surprise you?

ALL the time!!!

my boys really get brutal...and then the minute one of them has a problem, the other two are right there ready to help and give support....it's amazing!:-4

I always love how they get under each others skin, and then when one is gone for a while, even though they know where they are they say "when are they coming back??" ....and of course, me being the LOVING mom I am...I take that opportunity to tease the stuffin' out of them for REALLY loving their brothers!!:wah::wah:

That was very sweet of Josh!!:-4:-4

Just be thankful you don't have TWO girls!!! I think sisters can be quite brutal to each other! Oh I remember so many times me and my sister would start fighting then grab eachothers hair and NOT LET GO...every time I pulled she'd pull harder and vice versa! My poor mother! She would try to pry our hands away but to no avail!:wah: My dad would let us just duke it out...because in another half hour we'd be back upstairs making up some new dances or putting make-up on eachother......it got REALLy nasty when we became teenagers and started taking each others clothes and shoes!!!:D

:wah::wah:

Yes I remember those days with my sister. We would get really nasty with each other, b1tch slapping, hair pulling and eye scratching. Now we love each so much, and I could not image a world without my sister.

they dont get physical anymore as we wont allow that, my youngest used to beat up on the eldest and she wouldnt retaliate so we made sure it stopped. They bicker over everything, my turn to shower first, my turn to sit there, she has more pop in her glass etc...Only nearly 19 months between them so they play lovely too.

If one goes somewhere like a school trip they always buy something for the other one. The eldest has even been known to hand over birthday presents she hasnt opened so the youngest doesnt feel left out lol...

Josh sure is one special boy:-6

Aww - thats when you realise that its nothing serious, and nothing will ever come between them and they will always be there for each other. :-4 Which is a rare and precious gift they have for each other :-4

My brother who is a year younger and my sister who is two years younger and I used to have some battles. My sis had long nails. I dunno why......sibling rivalry. We get along great as adults now. We have our own lives and respect each other.

Two of my students live in the same foster care facility. They fight constantly. One even tries to give the other paper cuts when no one's looking. Today one was having an especially tough time with his science project ... the other moved over and helped him just as natural as you please. :-6

Another thing about siblings is their devotion....when i was younger I would fight with my sis and beat each other, call ner names etc., but if ANYONE else would pick on her....I would lose it!!!! Always stood up for her! But I'd turn around and beat her up again! Awww....

It's funny how some of our fondest memories are of beating up our brothers and sisters.:wah:

Tell Josh he rocks!:-4
Who are they to protest me? Who are they? Unless they've been me and been there and know what the hell they're yelling about!

Oh yes my kids fight. They will get in knock down drag out fights. But then when I have one in the store with me, and the other is at home or away, they always demand we buy something for their sibling. Ayden especially enjoys picking out surprises for her brother. And Zakk will use his play money at school to buy his sister something from the first grade store.

My brother and I used to bicker and wind each other up constantly, yet once we left home we ended up living together at one stage and never fell out once! Still pretty close.

My husband is the middle child of 5 who were all pretty indifferent to each other growing up and have very little to do with each other now.

I'd rather they were fighting than ignoring each other - at least it's some contact!!:wah:
