Hello and may God Bless All

Post by BHughesNC »

Hello, I would like to introduce myself here at ForumGarden. I am Bobby H.. I am a born again Christian with a goal of sharing Jesus Christ's love throughout the internet. God gave us this wonderful cyberspace and I want to use it for His glory. I know a lot of you will think I am a nut, but that's fine with me. I believe we are all sinners from birth through the sin of Adam. The law "Ten Commandments" were given to define sin. Jesus left His throne in Heaven to come to earth by being born of the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary. He was a humble man and the Son of God. Through His ministry He taught us about the kngdom of Heaven. He perform many miracles and signs to prove His deity. He was crucified, buried and rose on the third day to pay our sin debt. All we have to do is accept the fact that we are a sinner, repent and ask Christ to be our personal Lord and Saviour. It is simple and free, but it was not cheap. It took the shedding of blood by Jesus Christ to cover our sins. If you have not accepted His Gift please do. The bible says the wages of sin is death. This is not a choice of physical death or not for it is appointed unto man once to die, but after that the judgment. This could mean death and hell vs eternal life in Heaven. This may be my one chance to reach out to you and I am blessed to have had this opportunity. So may God Be With You!

Well, I've certainly seen nuttier opening threads..:D

Here's the deal..

There are folks here that will agree with everything you say.

There are folks here that will agree with most of what you say and not want to argue about the rest.

There are folks here who will agree with little of what you say and avoid you.

There are folks here who love a good argument.

There are folks here who can't wait to feed off your carcass.

My personal choice.. try to remember that you are not in fact 'your' god, but merely a humble human like myself. You avoid passing judgment on me and my sins, I'll do the same for you.:-6

What do you do for fun? Got kids? Grandkids? Favorite TV shows?
Who are they to protest me? Who are they? Unless they've been me and been there and know what the hell they're yelling about!

My bible says "judge not that ye be not judged"

I am to have NO other gods to include myself.

I just try to present the facts as I see them, take it or leave it. (Free Will).

I have 7 grandchildren that keep me busy and broke!

I like 24, Prison Break, Bones, and oh yeah American Idol

God Bless

Do you plan to join in the reindeer games, or are you here simply to proselytise?

Lots of opportunities here to chat on a variety of subjects.

okay! Now we're talkin'!:wah:

Which one made you want to cry the most? The girl whose dad died in a car accident two days before tryout or the 'tough' kid sleeping in his car and liking it who ended up crying when he made it through?:D

and oh yeah... 3 grandkids:o

Didn't know they were having the reindeer games this time of year...

As far as proselytising .... I just came here to be part of this forum and to discuss a variety of topics - one of them being Jesus Christ!

So I guess it's strike one!

hello and welcome to the garden!

Some of the gnomes bite, but barely break the skin, so just some neosporin and bandaids are needed. Some might give you hay fever, so have some Clariton on hand. And the rest are not so bad. :wah:

Well, thanks for sharing your born again experiance. I'm glad you are feeling so good about your life and wish you well in all your endevors.

Myself, I don't beleive in an all knowing, all seeing God. If He egsisted he would have eliminated the human race by now and chalked it up to one big mistake.:D Gazuntike, and Bless you.

I thought it was to show he/she was multifaceted and not just interested in the religion thing. Either that or we're about to get the hard sell on Huckabee. Either one is okay by me, but I only vote in visible polls if its to get rid of someone:thinking::D

What fun, we finally have an evangelist. I thought they'd gone out of fashion years back, it's nice to see old traditions being maintained.

OK, I'll bite :-)

Let's start simple and we can work up from there :-

Do you see the Bible as inerrant?

Where do you stand on atonement by proxy?

Can there be truth in other faiths?

Does anyone stand between you and God?

Thanks for all the replies to my newbie thread. I am certainly glad that all replies have not been positive or negative. It's gives me hope that people are still willing to discuss such an issue.

I like to think I am just a regular guy with an opinion. I grew up poor, the son of a hell fire and damnation preacher that dragged me to church my entire childhood. I rebelled, went into the Army as soon as I was able in 1966. I didn't have to go to Vietnam but we all owe a debt of gratitude to those that did. I spent 20 years in the Army.

I did drugs, drank like a fish, became an alcholic, hit my wife one night in a drunken stupor and seeing her black eye the next morning told me I needed forgiveness not only from her but from the Christ that had given me her in the first place.

I am not someone that just thought it would be cool to become a Christian. I know this will sound like a cliche but I was missing something in my life, Brenda fills that physically and emotionally. Jesus Christ fills it spiritually.

I am not one to wear tee shirts that say "JESUS" he's the real thing or JESUS rocks. I am just a man that believes we are all created equal by a God that loves us and that we have failed Him.

I like the Dallas Cowboys, Duke basketball, Carrie Underwood and Southern Gospel.

So don't be too hard on me, it's like in the 60's all above love and peace. Only for me it's about love for God and peace in my heart.

btw: I didn't do the poll to promote Huckabee I just like politics.

Have a Glorius Day.

Bobby

This poor man is going to think that all the Brits here are barking mad!!!!

We're not, some of us are quite sane as I was telling myself in the mirror this morning, I did argue back though, so I've grounded myself until I learn better.

Hey dude, welcome to FG. What ever helps you get through your life is fine with me. We all find our own ways to carry our crosses.

If religion got you out of drug abuse, hitting your wife and whatever else you were up to, then it is certainly better than the alternative.

many people here ... myself included ... are not into "organised religion" ... however that certainly does not mean that you need feel in the slightest way weird ...

that you are a born again christian is entirely your business and it is your democratic right to proclaim that fact ...

whilst i will probably never agree with you as regards anything biblical ... i will fearlessly defend your right to voice your opinion ...

Hi Bobby.

Do you think its possible God has a sense of humor ?

What do you imagine God is in form ?

Do you really think God created us in his own image ?

Do you think we resemble God in his physicality ?

What do you see when you envision him as an entity, if he were standing in front of you what to you does he look like ?

Hello, my name is Rhonda, I'm new to the site. I'm also a born again Christian. I agree with everything you said in your introduction and I want to commend you for being so brave. It took a lot of courage to put your beliefs out their like that.

If more people would do things like that we could spread the word of God's love to many more people. Most people are scared of rejection. Keep up the good work.

God bless
