The Water Horse

“The Water Horse is everything a family film should be".

The story is light on its feet, but grounded by some substantial ideas, coming as it does from a novel by Dick King-Smith (who created Babe, the talking pig), and director Jay Russell (of “Tuck Everlasting and “My Dog Skip). The adventure builds to a thunderous, rather fright-filled climax, but youngsters will be relieved that everything ends happily.

The Loch Ness Monster meets “Free Willy in “The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep. The film is what family entertainment ought to be, but so rarely is: a ripping good adventure, a parable about childhood and maturity, and a romp.

We loved it and give it a 9/10:-6

they will love it, its nearly 2 hours long, we took 6 children 8-10 years and never heard a murmer out of them. It was nice to watch a non-animated beautifully written and well acted movie..The young Alex was fabulous, the water horse very life-like and Ben Chaplin who plays Lewis was such a convincing scot and dreamy lol. It was sad in parts with a happy ending.

awww thanks Giggs, her birthdays on Tuesday but we had her party yesterday and she loved it, no mention of her hair either lol...I put it in a side high ponytail which looked fab and she had new clothes and that took her mind off the fact that she hated her fringe lol...

Cant wait to see her face on Tuesday, we have bought her a wii :driving:

sports

sonic and the rings

She has had some game gift cards and money from friends who went to her party so she can buy another game if she wants..

lol don't try the sports one if you have been drinking,

although its great fun of your a bit tipsy.

my sister bought a karaoke singing and dancing type game honestly we are like big kids. :wah:

My son wanted to see this movie, but changed his mind and saw another one.

I will tell him I heard it was good. Thanks for posting about it.
