I agree Mrsk.......to see the person in charge of this Forum on here gives a feeling that it is being run right and he has his eye on things......the way a good Forum is run.

How are you all doing today?

Surprisingly, it's snowing *again. :-5 It's been snowing all day. I think I need to remind Mother Nature that it is March!

Sorry to hear you're cold! Not much fun in that.

We usually don't have this much snow - it was a 100 year event this year. We actually had to shovel snow off our roof. Took my son and I 1 1/2 days to get it done.

You know, I like photos ( :D ) - so here's one of my son (face blurred out) taking a break. You can see the depth of the snow...and this was after he had been shoveling in this area for a while. Despite what my desert dweller friends say, we DID have a good time up there. ;)

I haven't seen more than an inch of snow - or any snow that lasted more than two days, in twenty years. Gone are the days of ice yachts on the ressi and barges iced in for months at a time.

Good to see you posting BTW :-6

Wow, TS, I haven't seen that much snow since 1978/9 when I used to live in a little village out in the country, on the border of Nottinghamshire (Robin Hood country) and Leicestershire. The drifts were nearly 10 feet deep across the lanes out of the village, and we were cut off for about four days, when the snow plough got through to us. We were fostering two boys at the time and, with my son, the three of them thought all their birthdays and Christmases had come at once !! Those were the days !!:D

Dearest Tombstone, I would like it noted that my name should not be on Nomads list. He really is very sloppy with his list making. I should in fact be on the 'Garden Angels' list (you know the one that shows all people getting a discount on membership :sneaky: :D

Not that I've experienced. The ones around here react pretty much like deer. Often times, you have to honk your horn and rev the engine to get them to move.

They think they are on Jamaica time.
