ok, I'm not sure if anyone will know the answer to this one, but here goes..
I have english and arabic installed on my computer so you can switch between the two by presssing alt and shift. the two I have installed are english UK and syrian arabic, but every time I start up the computer, it adds in english US and saudi arabic, no matter how many times I go into the language bar and delete them. Why?? :-5
It's really irritating as it means I keep being told to spell words like 'emphasise' with a 'z' instead of 's' etc etc, and it means I have to skip between 4 languages instead of 2 everytime I want to switch.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can convice my computer I really do only want the 2 languages installed?

Word? Overriding your selection? There's a Tools > Language > Set language > Automatically Detect Language option in Word and I bet it's capable of forcing XP to bring those two back whenever it feels inclined. Is it set? If you unset it does it stop happening?
I'm guessing haphazardly, I'd have said it isn't supposed to happen but it obviously has.
Anyone else? I'm unconfident of what I'm offering here.

good thinking batman, it was indeed turned on, so I've switched it off and eagerly await the results next time I reboot.
