A sermon broadcast last Friday on PA (Palestinian Authority) television called for the subjugation of all Christian countries under Islam and the extermination of every Jew.
The Moslem cleric, Ibrahim Mudayris, told his Arab audience, “The day will come and we shall rule America, Britain, we shall rule the entire world, except the Jews.†He explained that, unlike the Christian countries, Jews cannot be placed under subjugation. He told PA television viewers that the only fate awaiting Jews is death by extermination.

Seriously, Clint, I think you're spreading a race-hate lie. I can't find any reference to such a call on any reputable news source - most particularly, the Press Association put out no such release, that was the first thing I checked. Here, in summary, is what Shaykh Ibrahim Mudayris actually said in his May 13th sermon - I think if the sermon had called for anything like what you've copied here, it would have been noted.

He says: "Our Palestinian people commemorate one of the worst occasions in their entire history; it is the anniversary of the loss of the homeland and dispersion of the people. It is the anniversary of the loss of the land of Palestine and the dispersion of the Palestinian people all over the world."
The imam describes the State of Israel as "a cancer" in the body of the Islamic nation and says: "Jews suffered the worst crimes known to history, but they are not worse than what they are doing to the people of Palestine." He refers to "crimes" committed by Israel in the Palestinian areas, such as the demolition of homes and reports that people have been buried alive under the debris; he talks particularly about the recent incidents involving Hajj Ashur and Ihab Malakah. He also recalls the "crimes" of Dayr Yasin and Sabra and Shatila.
He says: "Palestine was occupied by Britain, which we hold fully responsible for what is taking place on this land. On this occasion, we hold Britain responsible and say that we have a sense of vengeance that we will never forget. We will never forget this sense of vengeance against Britain, which must assume its historical, political, and moral responsibility for what it did on the land of Palestine from the time it set foot on it." He adds: "Britain is responsible up to this moment for every drop of blood that flows on this land. Were it not for Britain's support for the Zionist movement, the Jews would not have had a national home on this land."
The imam recalls past Palestinian uprisings, saying the Palestinians put up a tough resistance, particularly in the 1936 uprising, and he blames Arab neighbours, without naming them, for "betraying the cause" by opening their borders to let Palestinians emigrate. "But we are still steadfast on the land. We decided to be the spearhead in defence of our holy places and land. We asserted the Arab identity of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall remain Arab as long as one of your children lives on this land."
The imam continues with the same theme in the second sermon. He says Palestinians are defending the dignity and honour of the Arab and Islamic nation and that this situation cannot continue forever. He recalls the demise of old empires, the British Empire and the Soviet Union, and says: "The one who removed these empires will also remove the United States, God willing. The one who did away with Russia overnight will do away with the United States, despite what it does here." He refers to the "massacres committed by US forces in Al-Qa'im" on the border with Syria and says Syria will be the next target.
The imam concludes with a prayer for steadfastness on the land, repatriation of the refugees, and the release of prisoners.I don't mind that you've passed it on, not everyone's going to check sources. What I'd bring to mind, though, is that somewhere there's a gentleman, the author of the race-hate lie which you copied, who feels it's his business to make Shaykh Ibrahim Mudayris even more of an object of hate than his rank and position entitle him to, and to try to add to the sufferings of Muslims worldwide. That gentleman, at least, knew what he was doing and what he was doing it with.
I note also that the gentleman was trying, in his way, to bias the minds of the US electorate.
I don't even think this particular gentleman had authority, I think he was doing it off his own bat.

He's not a peaceable cleric, I'll grant you that. Taking bits out of a sermon and deliberately mistranslating them is a fairly underhand trick too.
Here's what Arutz Sheva translated the paragraph as:
"The day will come when we will rule the United States, the day will come when we will rule Britain, we will rule the whole world [and all will live in peace and comfort under our rule] except the Jews. The Jews will not live in peace and comfort under our rule. Treachery will keep being their nature throughout history. The day will come when the whole world will rid itself of the Jews."Here's a somewhat more accurate translation - I take this copy from The Jerusalem Post, it's in several other papers too, like The International Herald Tribune:
"The day will come when everything will be relieved of the Jews – even the stones and trees that were harmed by them. Listen to the prophet Muhammad, who tells you about the evil end that awaits the Jews. The stones and trees will want the Muslims to finish off every Jew."You know what this cleric is doing in his sermon? Oddly enough, he's quoting his scriptures. In the Hadith (or Sayings of the Prophet) Book 40 saying 6985, narrated by Abu Hurayrah, Muhammad is quoted as saying:
The Last Hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.It's an apocalyptic vision, quite like parts of the Christian book of Revelations.
Now, look at what Arutz Sheva translated this quotation from Islamic scripture into. It's an inflamatory act. So was the sermon, by the look of it. Sheik Ibrahim Mudeiris isn't tea and biscuits, he's a tub-thumper. They have them, we have them. I don't believe Clint is justified in saying he called for worldwide extermination of the Jews on this occasion, though.
Just for completeness, since I found this too, here's how such apocalyptic texts get used by bigots. Bear in mind that Christianity has quite a number of them too.
For the Muslims, the coming of the Mahdi is accompanied by minor signs, such as: wine drinking, love of this world, hatred of death, neglect of prayer, interest on loans, and popularity of singing women.
The major signs include the emergence of the Deceiver (Al-Dajjal), who is the equivalent of the Christian Antichrist. Amongst the followers of the Deceiver will be seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls. The Dajjal is not only an incarnation of evil in the guise of a global leader, but can also be a system of social and cultural phenomena, as well as an unseen power. Some say that Western democracy could qualify as the Great Deceiver. Another major sign is that the sun will rise in the west.

Okay, I’m confused. How do we know who translated the sermon correctly? To me, both translations look fairly ominous for the Jew. This guy, who has considerable sway with Hamas, is using what was written and giving it meaning for today.

It's an instruction on how to bring in The Last Hour: the Muslims will fight against the Jews, killing some - well, we've seen that now and then, after all - some Jews hide, the trees and stones (except the tree Gharqad) will give them away and ask for their death. Nothing in the saying says that the Muslims will oblige, at that point.
