New Phone Charge?

I have just got my phone bill from BT.I went back to them because of various reasons.Upon looking at my bill I could not believe what they are doing now and part of the bill reads as follows.......

Your weekday UK calls are just 3.25 a minute (plus 6p call set up fee).................Excuse me?????What the hell are they doing.Im going to get in touch with them today but tell you Im not a happy bunny and will have to look into my contract with them as I find this so called "set up fee" totally out of order and how can they justify it fgs.

Just to say that I got through to BT after hanging on for ages and was told that all phone companys now have this "set" up call fee for the first minute of a call during the day.I cant argue........at the moment.......until I check this out but what a con!

im with Virgin, i dont have any set up fee:-3 my deal is about £38 for phone, tv and broadband. My tv is'nt the whole lot, its xl which was the old family package i think, get a lot of progrmmes but not sky sports or sky movies. My phone is free calls any time of day or night and day of the week to local and national landlines. Before i got the whole package, when i first changed to them (they were NTL then till virgin took over) I only had the phone and it was £25 a month for the same deal as i have now......free calls any time of day or night and any day of the week to local and national landlines.
