Why i haven't been here

Some of you may have missed me, others probably never noticed

I never thought for one minute, what affect being on a forum constantly would have on my relationship with my husband. I'm not saying it's all been down to me on this but it hasn't helped.

It got to the point where i told him i was leaving him...but we talked some more and started getting through things now and i think it's because i've been spending more time with him and talking to him, rather than being on here.

I do miss everyone on here but i guess my real life has to come first. I'm gonna try and get on when i have some time to myself (like now) but it doesn't happen too often

I just thought i'd let you know why i've not been around so much, you don't have to reply

Love ya all :-4 :-6Gemma you have no need to explain as its none of our business sweetheart but appreciate you telling us your ok as Im sure some must have been wondering where you have been.At the end of the day you have to put your husband and children before a machine.Yes some of us do miss you as you were such a joy here and some of us got to know you and I am so happy to be able to call you my friend.Remember that when ever you decide you have the time to come here I for one will welcome you back with open arms as I am sure many others will............till then you make your marriage work and just remember I am your friend and always will be;)

Life is all about balance, couple time, children time, me time, we all get it all out of order sometimes. It's all ok though, it's generally happening for a reason. :-6:-4

Oh whoops, yeah thats bad, you have to watch out for that kinda thing, people have discussed in the past how being online can be a little bit addictive and can eat into time spent in the real world. You seem to have a handle on it anyway, and yourself and the husband have discussed it, so its good to take yourself away from the computer, most of the people you have gotten to know will be here when you wanna drop in. Its very important to keep a place like FG in perspective, its great to get to talk to people online, but its not the real world at all, so don't do anything that is compromising to your real-world life. :-6

Forums are a great way to avoid life arent they ?

Its way better than having to talk to people for real.

HI Kinks:-4 hey you do what you think is best, like Betty said you just have to get a balance, and dont forget your "me time" is important too:D Im on here quite a bit sometimes, but its usually when hubs is working, or watching a programme im not really in to, or at the bookies;) I do think it is important to make time for each other though, even after nearly 27 years of marriage. Even when he is working, if he comes home on a break i usually leave the computer and go have a cup of coffee with him:D MInd,, i have told him to bugger off as well if he has twisted cos i have come on here when we are both in but doing nothing in particular. My line usually goes,, i dont complain when you go to the bookies, or want to watch some crap on tv...:p Just keeping him on his toes though,, i cant let him think im always at his beck and call now can i:wah: Anyway i hope you are much happier now, and find a good balance so you can still pop in now and again to see usxxxxxxxxx

Yes kinks your absence was noticed, happily as it turns out you're ok.

Balance is the key, & you seemed to have found it, good for you.

Just a thought, another possible solution could be, is to get "him" hooked on FG too, then you'll both be looking to get on here!

I don't think forums create problems, I think it helps identify problems that already exist. I'm glad you recognised that you wanted to fix the problem.
