Sunglasses?

Post by valerie »

Well, it finally happened, I dropped my pair of sunglasses and accidentally

stepped on them, they didn't break but a bit of gravel under them ground

a nice mark in one side. They were the ones with rose colored

lenses, too!!

Right now I went to my (probably 30 years old or so!) back up pair of

Vuarnets... they have a tiny scratch on one lens, too, but I can

live with it for a bit. They are the bright yellow kind, anybody remember

those? Bit hard to get used to again...

Anyway, sunglasses seem to be so weird these days, I found some

cheapies (that are still 100% UV protection) but the styles... well,

I didn't care for any of them I looked at, really. Ear pieces seem waaaay

too wide for me and I can do without rhinestones... ;)

The budget won't let me go for new Vuarnets so my question is,

anybody got ideas for me? I'll check Ebay but just wondered if somebody

might think of something else. Or a way or a place to polish a scratch

out of a lens?

Here's another pair for you.........they are diamond studded.:)

Every time I drive or even ride in a vehicle, I have to wear my shades.

I just don't seem to be able to hold on to a pair of sunglasses very long and as a result go through 3 or four sets each year. I don't seem to loose or misplace other items, just sunglasses. Obviously, I will not spend big bucks for the designer styles.

I have had them chewed on by a dog, stepped on by an elephant, blown off into the Grand Canyon, crunched by a four year old child, off into a lake, gone over a waterfall, burned in a fire, stolen by gypsies and just plain have had them disappear.

Thanks for the new shades, AFTR!! (I wear mine just to walk to the

mailbox and back...then again, I'm 55 years old and have no visible

crow's feet!!) ;)

LOL Lon then at least all your family/friends have something good

to get you for your bday or Christmas!!

Just a thought Val, you may want to go to your local optomitrist & see if they can have the scratch polished out. Or recommend someone who could.

Actually, I don't have a "sunglass" problem. As I wear clear prescription glasses, that are transitions. The lenses automatically transition to brown sunglasses when in the sun. They're great!

Sorry Val no wise suggestions from me but you wouldn't expect anything less

I use sunglasses when it's bright outside or if pollen is high, last year I couldn't work out why I couldn't see through the lenses, after examination of the glasses I realised that I had coated them with a thick layer of hairspray :o I tend to use the glasses like a headband as my hair is long and forgot to take them off when let loose with a can of hairspray :D
I am nobody..nobody is perfect...therefore I must be Perfect!
