Tina Fey plays a successful businesswoman with biological clock issues and hires Amy Poehler to be her surrogate...or so I gather from the trailer.

This week's issue of Newsweek explores the stigmas still attached to surrogacy in this country and goes on to argue that this film perpetuates the very arrogance that fosters sweeping generalizations and stereotypes. Only 12 states (I think, don't quote me on this) allow surrogacy and the practice is largely banned throughout Europe. A factoid- Most surrogate mothers are military wives. It's not my intention to spark an ethical debate in this thread, so back to the movie...

It looks really stupid.
