Five armed teenagers went on a wild rampage in a Sydney school. They had machetes and baseball bats. No one had guns. No one got killed.

The teenagers were not from that school either, what a scarey story.

And here ends our safe schools.

Parents are talking about having guards at the school now.

What a shame:(

Why did they go rampaging about like that? Give them 10 years digging dirt in the outback, that might perseude other idiots not to copy their lark.

Things aren't what they used to be. My school provided the ones who were interested in them with thirty well maintained full-bore rifles. Several of us used to have matching ammunition in our pockets. I think the point might have been that we were trusted to behave sensibly. I don't remember anyone firing a round on the school premises while I was there.

I obviously wasn't counting the disciplinary firing squads on Tuesdays.

It's good there are still sane parts of the world that haven't thrown the baby out with the panic.

How's the teacher?
The crowd: "Yes! We are all individuals!"

Lone voice: "I'm not."
