I may winge and moan. I may express my shock at our differences. But all this USA vs Brits is upsetting me (like I'm not guilty ). Talk about bloody confused :wah: :wah:

Well all I do know is there are many wonderful people here, I have made so many friends - at FG and in RL - Uk, USA, Ireland, Aussie the list goes on - You're all great :-4

:o

Haven't met anyone here I've disliked. Disagreed with, yes, but not disliked. It'll happen, no doubt. I've also relaxed, and that might have been a mistake. No tone of voice in posts...

Oh, and relevant to your earlier thread about changing opinions as a result of what one reads here: I've been reading the pro-Tibet protests thread and my opinion is being formed by what I read on it! Suddenly someone on either side of the argument will come up with a point, and I'll be going, "Oooh. Hadn't thought of that...":wah:

chuckle. Sort of relevant to this post: What made Eisenhower a great man was not his generalship, it was his ability to to mould a team of the Commonwealth and the USA that was greater than the sum of its parts.
The crowd: "Yes! We are all individuals!"

Lone voice: "I'm not."

You better go NO-where Ms. Birdy!! I agree with you, this place has a awesome variety of different personalities and is definately a great source for knowledge from others. I have gained so much from everyone here, I have said it before and will say it about 980,007,383 more times....I am so thankful for my friends in the garden....:-4:-4:-4

Nice to meet you CH

Nice to meet you too, Pheasy.:)

The crab apple and pear trees have just turned the dark branches of winter into a white explosion of blossom, and the hazel and birch are just pushing their first soft pale greens. Last week - well, did you ever see the old postcard: "Weather is here; wish you were nice"? Four seasons in one day.:wah:

Forecast is for rain (of course), but today I spent most of it in the garden digging, and as the sun set (by which time I'd long done the same) two blackbirds sang against a quiet evening.

There have been worse days.:)

ALOHA!!

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

I haven't seen anything either regarding US vs UK, as I think everybody on here all has a sense of humor and I pretty much laugh either way.:D
