Wow Jimbo that is some story, thank goodness as you say that you didn't take the van or who dares to think what may of happened. I'm sorry that your money on the van was wasted, but you still have your life, and money can't buy you that!! :-6

As you say, lucky you weren't in it at the time!

Will the insurance cover hire of a replacement until you can get another?

Hopefully this will be the last of your bad luck - may it be so.

Wow Jimbo, Good to hear no one was hurt. I hope you had the van insured. Was there a fuel problem with the van? Hope your luck improves in the days to come.

Geesh Jimbo. Your luck sounds like mine. I'm glad you weren't driving it and that you and Suzy are both okay! Do they know what caused it?

Jimbo, have you checked for hidden camera's around your palce? I can't help but think this is all a set up, in a few months this will all be a reality show on TV. I think it will be called "Do you have the patience of Job?" Well lets see if these people we have been messing with for the last few months do. The star of our first show is none other than the self proclaimed Jimbo the Moron. Maybe its them crazy Japanese, they love a good trick or 20..:wah:

No Jeremy Beadle I'm sure of it. I clearly remember him dressing up and then setting up pranks on unknowing people, setup by their relatives usually. My favourite was the alien landing one, where they tried to convince this woman that an alien had just landed, it was priceless!!

I assume the person you refer to though, did a similiar show!

I claim prior knowledge Oh young one :wah:

Jonathan Routh presented Candid Camera back in the 1960s and Jeremy Beadle was, in my humble opinion, a pale imitation :p

My favourites were the game of chess, the car with no engine and the edible goldfish - wonderful stuff :-)

Jimbo my sweet friend, I am so glad that you walked by that van and got in the car. I am so sorry that you and Suzy have been going through such tough times, I agree with Wisey....you are definately being tested!....yeah I know he didn't say that, but in a sense by comparing you to Job....he did...:D

I am sorry that you lost your van....but I am really thankful that you were in the store wondering what Suzy wanted instead of in that van!:-4:-4:-4

what are your thoughts on that guys ?????

Don't accept the first offer they make and threaten to go to arbitration if the amount they offer does not come up to the value in Glasses Guide (or the public equivalent in the newsagents if you cannot find a friendly dealer).

I just realized while catching up on other threads that Jester may have forgotten one crucial step in using cooking oil as an alternative for fuel.

You must cool the oil before putting it in your tank. Hot oil and gasoline do not mix well..

I wish I could have brought this up before your van was demolished.:wah:

For all my American buddies, Alan Funt hosted OUR Candid Camera program in the 60's.

Sorry, Jimbo, for hijacking your thread into a trivia game. But.........you know you deserve it. :D (I can be in this lighter mode knowing that you and yours are okay.)

Hey Jimbo,

I wouldn't claim it on insurance if it exceeds its value, because of it causing problems on your insurance, which really sucks...because that is why we have insurance....for things like this:mad:

I hope it all gets better for you soon and that you and Suzy start having better days consistantly, seems like things just start to get somewhat normal and BOOM....and I feel your pain, I really do....:-6
