At work every morning, we go over our keyboard and phone with a pad soaked in alchohol.

when i work or volunteer in the kids school library, I come with ammo of lysol wipes and lysol spray. The kids and teachers are usually very grateful.......the wipes do a great job on the keyboards.

Germs and keyboards

Post by Kathy Ellen »

[QUOTE=fuzzy butt;853576]it's come to light that people are coming down with illness because they are using others computers.

some keyboards have been known to carry 5 times more germs than office toilets.

To avoid getting sick? wash your hands after using the computer

Mags, that's sooooo true....When I see my little darlings using their hands on the computer I think about where their hands have been last....in the loo, nose (pickers and planters) in other hidden places.....it was time for hand -washing techniques with my kids. But, everytime we leave the tech lab we go to the bathroom and wash our hands and use wipes.....

Yuk, if we only knew what we touch.....have you ever read about "dust mites" and where they're found....OH, SORRY...this should be put in your other thread:wah::wah:

Yep they are dirty little germ beds for sure. I pretty much touch every keyboard in the office on some days to the count of 50 or more. I do use alcohol rubs, or windex on a paper towel, and wear glove if they are real dirty. Got to watch the amount of liquid on the keyboard they don't like much moisture. Phones, Keyboard, Mouses nasty things that spread germs. :-2

I just lightly wipe over the keys with a cloth soaked in alchohol.:)
