and what a goal it was - a screamer.

All we need is for Liverpool to beat Chelsea tonight and Moscow will be a rockin'

Question - if the Reds play the Red Devils on neutral territory, who will wear what?

I should think they'd toss for it, although I have a feeling it'll be a blue/red final. ;)

I watched it in a cafe in damascus and it was pretty crazy! Everyone was cheering and booing - you could hear it from down the street when they scored. Apparently everyone in Damascus is a Man U fan - random!

Whereas most of the viewers in the Eastend pub I was in were suddenly Barca supporters - bad form, it's not as if we were even in North London!

It amazes me that they chose Moscow as the venue, it's a bloody joke and nightmare for fans trying to get to the match.

Good luck to you both in the final.

Anyway after the match on now, Man U may be league champions so we'll have to wait and see what happens. If they do I'm expecting a big excited cheer from you Abbey! :wah:

A Rose In Disguise

A rose is a rose every day, every night

You too are the same, except different in my sight

You are like a rose, such a beautiful creation

But a rose in disguise, meant to bloom for every nation

So show your beauty, for I know what you are

You are a rose in disguise, and very, very wise

A rose is a rose is a rose.....

Manchester United just won the European Champions League final against Chelsea in Moscow and took over the town afterwards to celebrate. The Russians are presumably helping them have fun.

UK newspaper headlines are being creative with "Dramatic shoot-out in Moscow".

Abbey will be back online in a while, I expect. She's elsewhere being a happy bunny.

Got home from Moscow via Dubai yesterday very weary but as spot says "A happy bunny"

What a fantastic night, I watched the penalties through my fingers and was in tears thinking we had lost.

Viva John Terry

Viva John Terry

Went and cocked it up

Went and lost the cup

Viva John Terry.

The team had to get a penalty shootout to work for them eventually and they certainly chose the right night for it to happen. I hope you found the Russians courteous and welcoming?

I'm really pleased you managed to be there even if you'll be talking about it for years. Will they get their open-top bus ride through town later in the summer? It's a bit harsh being stopped because of a bunch of uncouth Scots.

Did you notice the pictures of the Russian soldiers pulling ManU shirts on over their uniforms?

I thought they shot their soldiers for less but much has changed since Glasnost.

I've always been a fan of Paul Scholes and David Beckham.

When Paul Scholes scores a goal, i celebrate by having a pint of Scholes.

When David Beckham scores a goal, i celebrate by having a pint of Becks.

Thank god David Seaman is a goalkeeper. :-2
