what a beautiful dedication you made for your friend. My best friends son died on Easter Sunday at the young age of 24 months. He drowned in the family pool. It was all human error.....an agonizing one for my dear friends. I was there that morning for an egg hunt, it would be the last time I saw that angel Christopher alive. It's been 9 years and I still call her on Easter and also on his birthday. Both days are horrible for her and her family, but time has healed a bit. They still sign his name on all their holiday cards as "our angel Christopher".
She appreciates my remembering those important days each year and bringing him up in conversations, keeping his memory alive. So many people are afraid to bring up a lost child, but I know it makes her smile and she thanks me. She runs a bereavement group for parents at her church.

That letter could have been posted for myself and my first born son as well. Your words touched me, Jimbo.
