Quit Complaining

Post by QUINNSCOMMENTARY »

Who to blame, lessons on life.

You are not special, you are not entitled to anything, got it? :o

Ok, so there is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but even these require some effort. If you don’t live a reasonable life style, you may not have life, if you take liberty for granted, you may loose it and if you do not work at happiness that may elude you as well.

I don’t care if you are white, black, male, female, old or young, what you have is based on what you make happen. If you are not getting good grades in school it is not because the teacher is out to get you, it is because you are not working at it. If you are not getting ahead at work, it is because someone else is working harder, working smarter or simply cares more about what he or she is doing, get over it and stop blaming other people or your circumstances. Each of us makes choices in life and they all have consequences so if we sit back and blame the world, the consequence is that you will be a loser because the world could care less.

There is no satisfaction in being told you are special or that you did a good job unless you did something to deserve it and if you crave pseudo praise, you are a loser right out of the gate. That is like driving a fancy car on a lease because you can’t afford the payments. When you can pay cash for a Mercedes and don’t sacrifice more important things in life to do so, then you can be a winner ( if a fancy car is that important to you). If you cheat in school to get an A or have help with your homework (meaning someone else did most of it), you are dumber than the kid who got a C honestly. The quest is not for an A, it is for the ability to achieve an A because you know your stuff and know how to accomplish a goal.

If you spend your time envying other people and what they have, shift some of that effort to changing what you do and how you do it.

Get over it, you have control over nothing except what you do, and how you do it and that is what affects your life, period. Success in life is not having more money or tons of tangible stuff, nor is it sitting under a fig tree contemplating your navel or marching in the streets protesting what other people have done or won’t do.

Success in life is making life just a little better for the next person, especially your family. Raise the educational level of the world just a little, improve how we treat others by example, achieve self satisfaction and pride by real accomplishments well deserved, set realistic goals throughout your life and meet them honestly. Spread knowledge and truth, not malice, envy or entitlement. ;)

Get the chip off your shoulder and move on. Look in the mirror more if you want to see who is helping or hurting your chances in everything you do or want in life.

The most important place to seek honesty is within you. :-4

Actually there's quite a few people in prison for theft who might feel there is something not quite right about what you say:thinking:
