We're havin' a HEAT WAVE...

Post by valerie »

It may not mean much to those of you who live where it stays

really hot overnight, but this morning at 5 a.m. when I looked

at the thermometer, it was SEVENTY-EIGHT degrees out. We

are now at 85 with a bullet! ;)

Expected to break the century mark today, possibly tomorrow.

We have a Spare the Air day and extreme heat watch. Yikes!

Yesterday it got to 92 here, after starting the morning out

at 56. So, starting 22 degrees warmer, I can only imagine.

I did laundry, made tea and cut up cantaloupe. I think I'm

ready!!

I live on the East coast and it was really humid last night. Woke up a few times and I even had the windows open. Going up to about 75 today.

92 degrees already in May? Wow! I'm used to that in June with that and the humidity on top of it. Really disgusting.:wah:

We've had some of the hottest May days over the past week too, but today it's much cooler and wet, as is predicted for the weekend, sure is a real noticeable difference, and a good one for me too!! :-6 :guitarist

Yesterday was a cool 87 degrees.

This weekend we'll hit 100 degrees, here comes what I call our 3 months of hell.

Alot of Watermelon stay around the swimming pool.

If we can afford the gas - we usually try to take a trip to a cooler area. ??

I still wouldn't live anywhere else.
