1) Listen closely to them and respond with positive words like "you are correct" "yes I understand" "I agree with you" Of course always start out with May I help you, and generally act like you are genuinely interested in them, and smile with your face and your voice.

2) Say to the customer, one moment please, I will be right back. Pick up the phone say your greeting and politely ask them to hold a moment. Go back to the customer and finish up with them.

3) Because I am desperate for a job, in need of money for my sex change operation. Ahahahaha

That number 3 is a goofed question ok let me think

Because I believe in your product and think I could do a good job selling it.

How do you make anyone feel special?

Look them in the eye when they talk to you and give them a chance to say what they have to say. For those few moments, they have you undivided attention and your eagerness to be of assistance. A kind smile is always good too, if it is sincere.

Just a thought. :)

Dang - she already had her interview then? Did she get the job? I like interviews - it's always the same questions. I would have said Butter - RELAX!!!!

Answer the questions as if you were the customer - how would you like to be treated. As for #3 - say I can learn stock and sell anything.

1/ how do you make a customer feel special

Pull them aside, tell them you have decided you will be life-long friends, and produce a sharp object so you can commence the "blood-brother" ritual.

2/ what would you do if you were attending to a customer & the phone started ringing - you are on your own in the branch

Tell the customer to grab the phone for you....you're on a break.

3/ why would you like to work for us

Because you've researched their security measures and surveillance equipment and you're pretty sure you can surpass it all and make off with free stuff.

I'm kidding, of course...How did it go?

Good morning, B.

I don't know what level the job you're going for is (entry or otherwise), but you could separate yourself from the pack by sending a little thank-you email or note to everyone you spoke with at the company, including the receptionist (I know, I shoulda said this yesterday - sorry). Anybody you can remember the name of, anyway, but especially the main interviewer.

Mention the main points of discussion you found most interesting and possibly a trait or skill that may not have been showcased. Also that you're looking forward to seeing them again, of course.

There's a great book on job hunting, Knock'em Dead, that's updated every year. I highly recommend it.
