How bad was the accident?...

I'm afraid if the accident was even remotely worrying I would have tagged him as well...

But if it were just a bump or something I would have to say that that's pretty unnecessary...

I believe there's enough time for you to change it...

That is if you don't think it gives your thread character...

Yea but he wasnt even involved in the accident. He just stopped to help:confused: It does'nt say anthing about wether anyone else reported it and wether they were punished too. But hey you know the papers sometimes you dont get the whole story:rolleyes:

I understand...

My logic is,..what's a little fine among the mercy of another human being?...

I hate to think that people would just roll by someone in dire need of assistance...If it takes a law to get people to help others then so be it...

Oh, right, im thinking he did help though? but now i think i understand what you are saying. Maybe he left the scene of the accident, with others still hurt and no ambulance had been called etc. I dont know now:wah: it just said in the report that he stopped to help a hurt woman, but didnt report the accident to police. Mind he was 73 years old:-3 I know at 73 a lot of people are fit and healthy in body and mind,, but some are not. It was quite a small piece in the paper too, thats what makes me think theres probably a lot more to it. And why did they give him a one year driving ban?

Try this....http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/ne ... 171140.ece it gives a few more details.

Could be he wasn't just lending a hand ?

Could be accidental DNA contamination ?

Given that he admits to memory problems either is possible.

and no I don't read the Sun, I just 'Googled' the mans name!

Yeah there was only a few sentences about the entire situation...

As for the driving ban you're right...That doesn't make any sense let alone much...A form of punishment perhaps...

At least the girl was ok...

I understand someone knowing that they don't know what to do in situations that involves physically helping someone who has been injured...But I also understand in that very same instance what they can do is call someone to help...

I absolutely have no problem with that sort of law...I do commend anyone who's been involved in a war effort for the greater of humanity but laws are laws and this one I happen to agree with...I personally could have never left the scene of anyone being injured so that's probably why I agree with the law so much...

I think anything with more than a paragraph is more credible than the Mirror...
