We talked about it here, but I think the thread was closed. It's a chick flick about a married guy with a secret lover. Lots of people loved it.

I thought it was incredibly boring, not to mention that I thought it kinda advocated (well not advocate but okayed) marrying someone under false pretences and adultery.

Gorgeous scenery though...

It was a bit slow going wasn't it! I stuck it out, wish I hadn't bothered really. I felt really sorry for the wives and didn't shed a tear when his lover died. I felt it condones adultery too and that bothers me more than the fact it was about gay men.

If you get the opportunity, go check out the 1962 movie, "The Childrens Hour". It has Shirley McClain and Audrey Hepburn as teachers in a boarding school. It is so subtle, and touching. One scene is unforgettable.

I've always loved cowboys and westerns are some of my favorite movies but i found Brokeback Mountain slow and boring, i've never actually made it through the whole movie yet.

Talking about songs it makes me think of that song by Big and Rich, Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy!:lips::lips::lips::wah:

Well I watched it for the first time and I would have to say that I thought it was quite good. Great scenery, unusual story, and even sad. Made me look at things in a different light. Interesting departure from the really camp portrayal of gay men.

They weren't cowboys, they were just dressed that way. They were sheepherders. Their reputation is already, well, baaaaad.

Oh yea...you better believe it mister.

You do know John Wayne was gay right ?

In fact most of the cowboys were.

Out there in the wilderness drinking hooch, stars shining bright, wolves howling.

Quite a romantic setting.

Maybe a quickie in the morning before coffee and grub, then saddle up and off they go.

Wrestlers are gay too.
