Friends and buddy lists

Post by RedGlitter »

I respect any choice anyone makes regarding the buddy list. I know I am always pleased when I get a friend request but then it's discouraging if there's no further interaction and it leaves me wondering why they wanted to add me. :(

And I have done this myself so I'm just as guilty. Please send me the request and then let's get to know each other a little better. :)

Hi Red!! I guess really it all comes down to one's definition of friend. You are viewing friends' requests as an early step to getting to know someone. I'm viewing friends as people one has already got to know and connected with longterm. It's semantic. I think now, that most Forum Gardeners share your definition, apparently. Maybe it would have been lots easier if I'd just done that too. Invited everyone, accepted all those kind enough to honour me with an invitation. It just didn't feel right at the time, somehow - but maybe I was wrong.

Anyway... all this new stuff seems to have taken the focus off past difficulties, and given us all a chance to regroup.

Hope you're having a good weekend. I just got back from the movie "Miss Pettigrew lives for a day". Charming.

Hi Pam! :-6

That makes sense. I hope you know I wasn't criticizing your choice at all; I was just putting in my two ducats. ;)

Yes the new changes so far are pretty cool! I like having a colored profile.

Is that movie a drama? Or more of a comedy? If you liked it maybe I will check it out.

I'm having a good weekend, thank you! I hope you are too. :)

Glad to have your comment!!!

I haven't had time to look properly at the other changes yet.

The movie is set just before the beginning of WW2 and is a period comed chic flic, but with atmosphere and charm. My partner enjoyed it too, though commented - as he would - that the buses (I hadn't noticed any buses) were too modern!

Ha!! I do that too with period films. I look to see if their clothing accurate or if the 14th century princess is wearing nail polish. :wah:

I will have to check that movie out then. Thanks for telling us about it!

That's what the "Continuity" film people are paid to take care of, RG.. grin. That no ancient celtic warrior accidentally wears his rolex to battle, that the shadow of an helicopter does not sully a dinosaur movie etc... Honestly, I didn't notice buses at all.

(He also always checks the train etc timetables in murder novels!!! Go figger!!!)
