then i see someone else try to start something up and i'll jump in so that they know i read them, even if I have nothing interesting to say.... kinda like now....:o:wah:

You, a topic killer? I haven't been around here much nor read everything you've posted but honestly I'd say that's about the last thing to strike me about your posts!

Yes, it does seem to get a bit quiet sometimes.

I tend to post in others peoples threads more than actually starting my own, but I hope to be taking a more active role now that I am going to make a more concerted effort to take part.

I often worry what other people think of me when I start new threads, things like : "there he goes again...", "trash topic..." etc, etc... :wah:

Do you feel that reverse discrimination is becoming just another problem that we are eventually going to have to face in the future?

OVERVIEW:

Definition of "Reverse Discrimination": a controversial term used to describe the perceived effects of government policies (most notably Affirmative action); namely that they benefit a historically disadvantaged group at the expense of discrimination against a historically dominant group.

In the United States:

"In the United States, the term reverse discrimination has been used in past discussions of racial quotas for collegiate admission to government-run educational institutions. Such policies were held to be unconstitutional in the United States, while non-quota race preferences are legal. Harvard professor Roland Fryer, however, has argued that there is no logically tenable difference between "quotas" and "goals."

The term has also been used in discussions about the practice of specifically awarding government contracts to businesses owned by women or minorities.

Those challenging specific government or university policies have sought redress through the courts. Many legal cases involving claims of "reverse discrimination" are settled before they go to court.

Capitalists argue that affirmative action programs destroy true competition, and that the United States is hurting badly educationally and monetarily through this non competitive movement. Hence, reverse discrimination can in fact hurt the economy and educational system because it is an anti-capitalist practice."

Ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_discrimination

In my country young whites are having travel to europe ... britain ... australasia and america to seek meaningful employement ... this as a direct result of reverse discrimination. The results of this can clearly be seen in the shoddy service now being provided in the workplace by people who are placed in postions for which they are unqualified and are there only because of the color of their skin.
