I'm feeling far too lazy today to welcome you all individually so this is a general welcome......................

Nice to see you all, feel free to tell me something about yourself although I can't promise to remember it, ah but if you do it here I can refer to it whenever I want!!

Sometimes I astound myself with my brilliance!!!

....... and everyone else too :-3

Welcome, new people.:)

Here's some welcome mats for you. Just pick one and lay it down in front of the door. And don't forget to wipe your feet.;)

See it all the time. One kid on my son's team has a $300.00 bat. Like can it hit on it's own? He's on the 12 yr old league. My kids bat cost $20.00 and hits just fine.

They put special titanium alloy springs in, tight double twist coiled. They make the bat feel twice the weight in the back swing because the insides of the bat bend and tense up which is perfect because it means the batter powers his downswing more, as compensation. The extra downswing combines with the natural resonant energy release of the tensed spring storage during the contact phase. The other difference is the relative ovoid concavity of the strike face of the bat which keeps the ball angled on a 45 degree trajectory whether the bat connects high or low. These bats can get a ball 500 yards from a contact anywhere within an inch of their centerline. The $20 bat just piles it into the ground at the batsman's feet and makes grown men whimper with feelings of impotence and inadequacy. Protect your child's sensitive emotional vulnerabilities and make him the idol of the cheerleaders, buy him a $300 bat.

I'd not bet $280 on whether I was making it all up, myself.
