I've been on a couple of dates and they were OK - no sparks - but recently have met my upstairs neighbor and we really have been hitting it off. We run together in the mornings and we have a date set up (dinner and a baseball game) on Saturday - She's younger probably 10 years, but we have the same interest, the same humor etc.

I hate games and want to see her, but also want to give her space (especially since I am 8 feet below her at all times) - How do I do both?

Wow, you don't waste time do you!!!:yh_rotfl

Enjoy your date, and if it all goes well on the night, then ask her that question.

Good Luck!:-6

Show her your post. If you truly hate games you will only last long-term with another "non-gamer." Just don't get all mushy and tell her you love her or anything stupid like that. :-4 :-4

i would tread quite carefully since the proximity is so close...what if it did not work or you wanted to bring someone else home? could end up being a real bunny-boiler.

Go enjoy the Baseball game! You may grow to love it. Baseball fans tend to have a lot more computing cycles in their brain than Football, Hockey, Basketball fans - so this is a good sign. (Well, errr... unless you are looking for someone who is not sharp.) :)

Go for it.. why wait.. life is to damn short so ask her if she wants to grab a bite to eat.. maybe check out a movie.. worse that she can say is that she is busy or something.. but I bet she will be happy to go out..

Hey you don't get to know a person, or get the "feel" of them if you dont' spend time together. If it feels right to get together for a casual outing then do it. Something simple like a stroll, or a bite is a lot less pressure than a formal date. It will give you some indication too as to what she may want. If that fails then state your preference.
