Where I am, you have to be over 17.
But it would be a fascinating conundrum if everyone was under 17. The one who shot it, the one who looked at it and the one who sent it to all his/her under 17 friends.
I think if they did anything at all, it would be under YOA (Youthful Offender Act) and that does not go on their record so therefore would not be a sex offender. I guess

It's playing doctor in the technology age, nothing more.
It's their own body even if they are young girls, not anyone else's. That any charges would be brought up is absolutely asinine. So what if they have cell phones. If not that they'd just be doing it behind the barn. Big deal.

If it's a much bigger problem than I have realized then I would have to say that that will persuade my idea about it to a great extent...At the same time I would have to question their upbringing...Usually kids aren't as willing to express their sensuality...
But in the long run these girls and their friends are providing child porn to pedophiles. who's going to listen more to a threat of being arrested? A young girl or a pedophile?

My friend's daughter's friend(!) was discovered by her parents to have posted pics of herself unclothed on the internet at the age of 14. They took away her fishtank as punishment.
It's an interesting conundrum. She hadn't been 'groomed', she made no money, she didn't mind being looked at, nobody was taking advantage of her, she was nobody's victim (apart from her father's, who beat her. Her mother was in the police which added an extra frisson to the situation).
You can only hope that your own teenage daughter will think better of doing such a thing.

Wouldn't it be safe to assume that there could be a large contingency of adult porn sites taking advantage of this and posting illegal pictures of teenage girls whom they've targeted on their own?...
