Or this: "A man's 'basic operating system' is composed of 'rapist' and 'murderer' programs which have been hard-wired into his brain.

He was shunned by fellow students because of his behaviour. A female officer complained he repeatedly tried to enter her room, and military police found "a can of Mace, several knives, two empty smoke grenade canisters and an electronic stun gun" in his room following an incident.

Holy crap. There's a rapist waiting to happen!

What a freaking LOSER!

Whut??

It comes down to accents, I'm sure I mentioned accents. Are you telling me you lot could listen to that recording and not be able to tell the guy was from Toronto instead of California? And you expect me to be able to distinguish those accents better than a native-born American?

[I'm just staring at native-born American wondering whether it's a grossly insulting label that would get your average American (there I go again!) reaching for his outrage. I'm a native-born Englishman, for example, and nobody here would rise to the expression]

I'm just curious as to at what point he felt the smoke grenade canisters would have been appropriate...

Probably while he was dropping his pants. With an attitude like his, I'd be amazed if it were any more than your average Gherkin pickle. :-6

They don't scare me, not from eight timezones away they don't.

I wouldn't expect anyone other than your average American or average Canadian would be able to differentiate the difference of the two accents more efficiently...

It's not a matter of how well they can differentiate the two accents as it is purely focusing on feeling the need to distinguish the two accents...

In other words,..people tend to go about their daily lives without making the effort to pay attention to fine detail...Obviously if the persons accent was extremely noticable we wouldn't be having this conversation...

Canadian and northern American accents have grown much more similarly over the past years without one being more influential than the other...
