would you die for me?
just supposing the person you loved more than life itself ... maybe your only child ... your spouse ... suddenly acquired a serious heart condition ...
only a heart transplant could save them ... supposing a donor could not be found ... supposing the law allowed YOU to donate YOUR heart ...
would you?

would you die for me?
Sure I would.
I think I do this daily-I gave up what was my life, on the upswing in career, family, my writing and research, to bring my husband home to live. He has priority, and the other things are fit into corners and pieces that are left.
I only want to hear my name once more, my selfish wish I always say over and over again. But if I believe it will happen one day, I think it will before I die.

No. That's ridiculous. One of us is going to die regardless. Why would I want that person to remain on earth and mourn me because I gave him my heart? We're not meant to live forever and who the heck would want to. If it were a kidney, sure. And I would die in myriad other ways for the person (bullet, shark attack, etc) but not this way. He can die and I'll be in hell on earth mourning him.

That's the spirit! :wah:
I'd give anything, absolutely anything, to save my beloved, no matter how dumb. Of course, we've agreed that we'd die together so the point is moot. We have a plan.

Yes I would, my family means the world to me and If I lost one of them knowing I could of saved their life, my life then would not be worth living as id be racked with guilt till the day I died.

YES NO QUESTION. At my age I'm suppose to go before my daughter or granddaughter, or sisters, or nieces. So sure take the ticker and I will be happy to give it to them. :-4
