if it's been only 4 years try your old school or college where you sat your exams. They normally keep them for 5 years after.

Hi,

I'm in the same boat, I have got my certificates for AS Level, but the A2 ones I forgot to retrieve from my old school and they destroyed them after a year. It was apparently for security reasons.

To get a copy it costs £30 each.

It seems a reasonable action, destroying them. There's a lucrative market in certificates because they're hard to forge but it's easy to alter the name of the person they're issued to. Destroying them after a year if they're not collected prevents their possible sale.

A2 only came into existence in 2000 so it really can't be hard to get them replaced. Most of my A levels were under JMB which was merged out of existence in 1992. There's a webpage at http://www.qca.org.uk/qca_4521.aspx showing all 36 obsolete English, Welsh and and Northern Irish examining bodies and how to get replacements or confirmations relating to each of them.

You've been telling everyone that for at least two years, there must be a hundred posts on FG with excruciating detail on the - pardon my saying so - morbid matter.

Perhaps but its an ever changing continuously evolving endeavor.

My collection today is nothing like it was 2 yrs ago and in 6 months time it will have taken on a new face.

In fact I sometimes mold and shape the lint into faces or animals.

OCR > Learners and Parents > Lost certificates might be a good place to start. But if you can still speak to your local school or training college, they'd know best. You could ask their advice at http://rims.ac.in/enquiry-form/

RIMS say they've a form and know the procedure. It may be the same form I pointed at, I can't tell, but if you email the Admissions Tutor you'll be getting close to an answer. That's Sheetal Multani. If you were a RIMS student, you need to collect a form for lost statement of result from our office. Will tell you how to apply to the University of Cambridge.
