Uh Oh

Post by Nomad »

I just spent the last 1/2 hr. on the phone with a representative from Microsoft X Box.

Clearly I was talking to a man or woman who smokes that resides in India, most likely from the Mumba or Pune region.

I need to send the unit in for repair.

After exhausting all home remedy methods he quoted a price and gave me the option of paying with a card over the phone.

As soon as I rolled the # out to him he said "ooops, we are having a system update please call back in an hour, have a nice day"

Why do Microsoft route your service calls to a man or woman who smokes that resides in India, most likely from the Mumba or Pune region? It was the Microsoft Service Centre you called, wasn't it?

Yes.

Microsoft doesnt consult with me on business practices.

Perhaps they should but they dont.

They could have been in the states for all I know.

We have call centers dotted all over the states that employ thousands of people originating from India and Pakistan.

There are call centers overseas but there are many many call centers based in the states filled with Pakistanis and India....uh........ites.

Im not sure but as one who formerly made deliveries to such offices Ive seen it over and over again.

Maybe the way many of them have 15 family members living in one large house is related, it just grows...not sure.

Or perhaps technical training there is prioritized because they know it can get them jobs here

At the very least, call your credit card company so that they're aware that you're aware, and that you're aware that they're aware that you're aware, so that there'll be no excuses if unauthorized charges suddenly start appearing.

If it was a system update I don't think your number went through hopefully. Check your credit card online and see if it shows. :-3 I hate calling service centers drives me bonkers.:-5 I use the online chat options. That way you just type back and forth till they get what your talking about. :-2
