Another Old Geezer

Hello All:

Living in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia is a blessing for young and old. The climate is relatively mild and the landscape is mostly green with rolling hills. And the people are super nice.

I've been retired since 1994 and love it! Young folks have it rough these days. rougher than in my time, I do believe.

Since retiring, I've taken to sailing. I own a small, 22 foot sloop that's big enough to live in. Have cruised for as long as three months at a time.

Also, I write novels, which I market as a self-publshing author. My books sell well, I'm happy to say. I'm a practicing numerologist as well, and wrote a self-help book called Numerology for Soul Awakening, which I offer in a pdf version as a free gift. See my wewbsite if you want a copy.

I look forward to reading posting here. Just read Randall's story...he must have hundreds of good stories to tell.

Hi V, nice to meet you. Hope you enjoy yourself here, loads of us are oldies ahahah or feel that way most mornings when we fall out of bed.

The garden is full of interesting sorts so I hope you find your niche. You sound like a very busy person.

Welcome! I understand people live long and well in the Shenandoah Valley, which makes you just a bit into middle age. You've got a good 40-50 years left to write down the first half & let us know what to expect. :-6

Viateb.. Im from the shenendoah valley. Staunton Virginia. Im serving a self imposed prison sentence here in Georgia. I am homesick every single day. I travel back there as often as I can. MY children, grandchildren and parents are there. Please respond to me.

Hi Vitae, welcome to the Garden, you will enjoy it here. I just took early retirement January 31st this year. I'm still getting used to it, & starting to like it.

So many things that have to be done, it's not easy being retired!!! ha- ha- ha!

My roots started in Virginia in the mid 1600's and one day I want to travel the area for a month or more.
